This cementitious slurry primer is a must if you’re laying porcelain pavers onto mortar. It provides an exceptional bond between the reverse side of your tiles and the mortar bed they will sit on, enhancing the lifetime performance of your outdoor space.
Perfect for use with 20mm porcelain, this slurry primer can also be used when installing natural stone, concrete and clay pavers.
✔ Simply mix with water
✔ Quick and easy to apply
✔ Specially formulated for porcelain
This slurry primer is the second stage of our ProPave External Tiling System, which also consists of ProPave External Grouts and ProPave Mortar.
This priming slurry should be applied to the reverse of your tiles. Before application, ensure the tiles are cleaned to remove dust and loose material.
Pour 5.95 litres of clean water into a bucket and slowly add all the primer powder. Mix for up to five minutes until a smooth and lump-free consistency is achieved.
Then, use a brush or roller to apply onto the tiles, immediately before they are laid. The slurry must be fresh and wet when tiles are placed onto the mortar bed.
Any priming slurry on the face of your tiles should be wiped clean immediately.
This 17kg tub will cover 13 m2 of tiles.

Our outdoor pavers will give you a stylish surface with excellent slip resistance. They are all certified as R11 or higher, so your garden is safe to use, whatever the weather.
Ideal for British gardens, our outdoor tiles are impervious to frost, mould and stains. So unlike natural stone or wood decking, they’re easy to care for all year round and they won’t fade over time.
You can lay our outdoor tiles onto traditional hardcore, concrete, gravel or pedestals. If you’re installing onto MOT hardcore, we recommend using our ProPave fixing materials.
