So we were delighted to discover that Unidrain - one of the leaders in the field - has just released some fabulous new mood boards that show home owners how to colour co-ordinate stylish bathroom accessories with their award-winning drains and other key elements such as tiles.
The current pandemic has meant we all now spend more time in our homes and have taken a critical look at our bathrooms. As a result, many of us are considering a bathroom re-vamp or even adding a new bathroom to the home.
To meet this pent-up need, Unidrain worked with designer Kenneth Waaben to create the Reframe Collection: the kind of stylish accessories that add value to any bathroom. This exclusive collection is grounded in Scandinavian design, with intelligent features that improved functionality.
For instance, the Reframe collection features a Soap Shelf and Shower Wiper with hidden magnets to ensure the safe and discrete storage of the silicone blade wiper. Equal thought has gone into the Towel Bar, Hook, Toilet Paper Holder, Toilet Brush, and Corner Shelf: all items that can compromise the look of a bathroom if they are not well designed. The Reframe collection complements, and colour co-ordinates with, Unidrain’s award winning linear drains, and is available in five different colour options: copper, brass, brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, and black.
The stainless steel options will be familiar to most home owners, but the other three finishes probably require more thought.
Copper
Effective copper co-ordination requires home owners to really play with the interior possibilities of Porcelain Superstore’s tile portfolio. We think that the relationship between copper accessories and rich marble-effect tiles is Hollywood hot!

Black
This design direction pairs light greys and dark greys through to anthracite, with crisp, sharp, and quite masculine black accessories. This pairing delivers an up-market boutique hotel vibe: equally at home in Copenhagen as it is in Kyoto.
You can capture this look by pairing black accessories with a floor surfaced in our Midlake Grey in 300 by 600, or 600 by 600mm. For walls or floors, Velvet Grey in 75 by 300mm offers a liveable grey with chevron pattern potential, but can also be used in a standard stack bond. Brass
When looking for the ideal companion for brass accessories, many feel that blue tiles are the way to go. But, at Porcelain Superstore, we really like to use brass with a subtle near white marble, like our 75 by 150mm Marble Arch, or something as stripped back as our Gloss White Metro in 100 by 200mm: a timeless classic.
You can always add extra movement and visual impact by using a simple mosaic, such as our Hampton Hex or Hampton Chevron: both presented on 300 by 300mm sheets. They provide a patterned contrast that allows the brass finish to really blow its own trumpet!
