Why use green kitchen tiles? 

It’s fair to say that kitchens are the hardest working room at home; these days, they’re a space for entertaining friends as much as cooking for the family. And that’s why green tiles are such a perfect choice. What colour kitchens do green tiles go with?

That said, there are some colours which work particularly well with green, including grey, white and pink. 

Can I use green kitchen tiles on the floor? 

Most of our green kitchen tiles are made from ceramic and should only be used on walls. However, some of our tiles are durable enough to be laid on your kitchen floor. Our favourites here are Dwell Emerald, which looks great when laid in a herringbone pattern, and the polished splendour that is Onyx Green. 

Which floor tiles to use with green kitchen tiles? 

For a true designer look, your walls and floors should sing in harmony. So naturally, different shades of green wall tiles will go with different floor tiles. Here’s some of our favourite combinations: 

Dark and rich shades of green suit the warm tones of wood effect tiles, especially walnut effect planks.
Grey floor tiles provide the perfect foundation for almost any kitchen style and will work will all shades of green.

If you’re planning a luxury kitchen - the kind that will dominate Instagram - then pair dark green wall tiles such as Opal Emerald with white marble worktops. Drama is key here, so pick a deeper green that will really stand out and finish off your room with grass accessories. 

For a kitchen that feels more farmhouse than fancy, look towards soft greens like Countrywide Sage. With a clam and natural style, they make a perfect suitor for cream kitchens - complete the rustic look with Winchester Beige on your floor.
