Pantone’s Classic Blue was chosen well before life in lockdown was in anybody’s mind. Its description is eerily apt, mentioning much of what has been sorely missed by many in the past few months. Pantone selected Classic Blue as a way to instil “calm, confidence, and connection”, adding that “this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”
As thousands have spent the majority of 2020 within their homes with little contact from the outside world, the home has become somehow even more important than it was before, as has the push for connection and calm, and a space that can provide peace away from the hectic instability of the outside world. For the heritage home...
A classic shape for a classic colour can be found in our Albert’s Peacock Blue 7.5 by 15cm metro tiles. The translucent crackle glaze allows the colour to burst through whilst British craft is celebrated in the manufacture and design of these traditional Victorian tiles.
