Wren Kitchens’ Infinity Plus Shaker kitchen in Jade and Soft Cotton has been crowned Kitchen of the Year 2021 by Ideal Home magazine.  It features a multi-material island with dedicated seating, colour matched cabinetry, and a fully integrated home office.

The judges – like the team at Porcelain Superstore - were wowed by the use of on-trend colours: Jade and Soft Cotton shaker units, with white Venice Xena Quartz worktops. This affordable design has the impact of a luxury kitchen.

Home Office In A Shaker Kitchen

For us, the Jade hue is the real hero here.  This is a colour we are seeing more and more in UK kitchens.  It's a bright, happy, and versatile shade; one that really fits into the clean crisp vibe so many home owners are seeking.

Jade, in tile form

The closest you will get in tile form is our understated Chalk Jade design.  Ridiculously great value at just £35.20 per sq. metre, these 75 by 150mm Spanish tiles have a subtly variegated gloss glaze finish and  irregular edges for a timeless hand-made appeal.  The jade tone draws inspiration from period homes, and in this neat format makes this a great choice for kitchens and splashbacks.

We also like to take this kitchen aesthetic a little bit further into the green/blue spectrum with our super cool Concorde Teal design.  Finished in a gorgeous deep glaze – think jade with added drama – this characterful tile delivers cool, sophisticated style to any kitchen.

This is enhanced by the slender picket shape: ideal for adding a pop of colour to a kitchen splashback.  Glossy and sleek, these inter-locking Spanish beauties measure 50 by 250mm, and will sit perfectly alongside plain white, gold, or modern metallic-finish tiles.

Finally, if you’re a regular follower of Porcelain Superstore’s tile blog, you will know that we think Dwell Azul is the world’s most beautiful wall tile.

Launched last year, they will infuse your whole kitchen in charm and character; but can also be used effortlessly to create a statement splashback. The gorgeous rustic teal glaze delivers rich and varied blue-green tones that compliment the tile’s irregular surface. And the glossy finish is truly something else: stroke these tiles and you’ll agree they feel just as delightful as they look!

The artisanal styling of these glossy tiles makes Dwell a natural fit for period properties, but they can also add character to more contemporary homes. 60 by 240mm, Dwell's made using premium porcelain, so they are suitable for both walls and floors. You really need to look no further!
